I am Tom Arneberg — husband of one, father of five, and Scoutmaster to hundreds over the past couple of decades. I developed my love of outdoor adventures as a Boy Scout in the 1970s, and when our oldest son turned 11 in 2001, I helped start a Boy Scout troop at our church in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
After leading the troop on four backpacking treks to Philmont, several long canoe adventures, and several long bike trips, I started doing some solo expeditions when I turned 60 during the pandemic when everything else was cancelled. I started filming my adventures for eventual YouTube videos, and decided to start a blog so that people can follow along if they want.
I may be older and slower now, but I am not done yet!
